Description
Cocon-I is intended to protect speech information circulating in the places where the owner of a cell phone stays in case of its unapproved remote activation to intercept via cellular communication channels.
Cell phone handset is placed inside a cell phone case.
In case of unapproved remote activation of phone in interception mode, there is only one give-away characteristic which is change in the electromagnetic field (i.e. mobile phone transmitter switches to unauthorized transfer). This change is recorded by the field indicator to give a command to automatically activate acoustic noise generator which is located inside the Cocon-I.
The level of acoustic noise at the input of handset microphones is enough to provide guaranteed closure of this channel of information leakage, i.e. the entire transmission path of speech information is blocked in the way that there are no signs of speech at the receiving end.
To disable Cocon-I shift the Switch.
"Intelligent" mode is applied the following way - after high-frequency calling signal appears from the base station, the acoustic signal occurs after 10 seconds. In case of acoustic ringing signal (handset beep, music, etc.), the noise is not activated.
When there is no calling signal, which is indicative of unauthorized connection, the acoustic noise is enabled within the pause of 10 seconds. Intelligent devices are distinguished by a 10-second pause and no blocking in case of any external noise near the speaker.
