Audio recorders with metal cases
We offer our customers the most reliable recorders with solid cases available in various colors. They are sure to meet any taste or requirement.
Many people wonder how we manage to achieve such a variety of colors, what materials are applied and whether they are environmentally friendly.
When processing aluminum cases we apply anodic oxidation, which means oxidation coating on the surface of the metal. Such coating protects the device against corrosion, provides electrical insulation properties, serves as a firm ground for paint-and-lacquer coating and fulfills the decorative requirements of the product.
Aluminum oxide layer is penetrated with microscopic branched pores protecting coloring compounds. (The layer from 1 to 200 μm in thickness protects the metal against corrosion, provides electrical insulation properties, and serves as a firm ground for paint-and-lacquer coating). Anodized aluminum surface is painted with the application of powder painting method.
Such painting method makes it possible to gain various color tints in addition to the natural color of the oxide layer. We gain such color tints as dim silver, dark or light gold, pink, blue, black etc.
Why do we apply powder painting of the cases?
Powder painting of the metal cases isn’t only efficient and ecologically safe, but also provides high quality of the decorative and protective coating of our cases.
Ecological Safety. The absence of solvents considerably adds to the solution of both environmental problems and personal safety. Painted devices are absolutely harmless.
Decorative Effect. The surfaces acquire properties that are unattainable when applying conventional technologies. For example, golden, silver and aluminum metallic colors plus a wide range of colors.
Solidity and Endurance. Powder coatings provide enhanced chemical durability as well as improved physical and mechanical figures; the coatings have strong anticorrosion properties. These particular properties make it possible to achieve shatterproof, chemically durable coating with anticorrosion properties operating within –60 + 150° temperature range.
Audio recorders with plastic cases
When manufacturing plastic cases for some of our recorders we apply matte paint for soft-touch coating, due to which matte soft cases of our recorders are so pleasant to touch.
Paint for soft rubbered plastic coating's been favorably reviewed due to its technological effectiveness and high performance of soft-touch coating. Polyurethane matte soft-touch paint we use provides extremely convenient and easy coating. The coating is carried out with the application of spraying method at the wet surface with thickness 80-100 m.
Soft touch isn’t only attractive and exotically decorative, but also has a range of unique operational properties.
The recorder’s case with such a coating is pleasant to touch. It won’t leave any finger print traces. The recorder’s case with such plastic stands occasional blows and falls. Matte coating won’t slide in your palm, which means ergonomics, enhanced comfort and exceptional control reliability.
Some historic evidence
Plastic with rubbered soft-touch coating appeared in the early nineties and since that time it is considered to be one of the most expensive ways of decorative finishing the plastic.
For more than 15 years of operation rubbered soft-feel coating has been leading the way from exotic decorative matte coating with mediocre operational properties to the material with exceptional endurance and chemical resistance characteristics.
Today you can enjoy the smoothness of velvety matte rubbered plastic of the cases of the following Edic-mini recorders: A22, B21, B33, Solar, as well as audio/video recorders mAVR H.264S and mAVR H.264SB, etc.
